Drones

Taking learning to new heights

If your computer science curriculum is fully grounded, give drones a try.  Classroom drones can be coded to fly autonomously to carry out missions, reacting to their environment in real time.  Keep kids engaged and enhance your coding curriculum with a technology that is taking off in many industries.

In this unique and interactive workshop, participants explore drones through live demonstrations, coding challenges, and creative flight activities. They learn about real-world drone careers, FAA rules and safety regulations, and how to choose the right drone for their needs. The session includes hands-on practice and resources to continue learning beyond the workshop.

Looking to truly put the A in STEAM education? Drones can capture unique aerial views to help students appreciate their world from a new perspective. Find and create art from above, while learning valuable photography and videography skills.
